Smoking

Smoking may seem to be a very cool habit, but it is actually a killer habit. There are millions of cigarettes being sold every day. Only some countries like the United States insist that the smoker should be above 17 years of age to smoke. In Singapore smoking is not allowed in public places. Such instances are found very rarely in few countries.
There are millions suffering from lung cancer and millions die from a heart attack because of smoking. A lot of efforts are taken by the United Nations as well as other social organizations to advice people to quit smoking. Campaigns are done in full swing all over the world, and even a Non smoking day is celebrated throughout.
However, even though many film stars lend their hands to such causes, it does not seem to be helping even a little bit. Cigarettes are being sold to children of illegal age, as well as teenagers the world over. It is sometimes a wonder about the invention of tobacco, how and where it started. No matter what the severe consequences, individuals do not seem to be paying heed to their health. The number of smokers only seem to be increasing each day.
